Wayne is a member of the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes Group, which focuses on business and corporate disputes, class action and multi-district litigation, litigation strategy and management, managed care, mass and toxic torts, and product liability.
Wayne joined Reed Smith in 1998 following his clerkship for the Honorable Donald W. Van Artsdalen in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a seasoned litigator and trial lawyer with extensive knowledge in various areas of law.
Wayne’s litigation experience over the last 20 years has concentrated on complex commercial and business litigation and advising clients concerning a wide variety of business-related disputes and corporate matters. His practice includes the representation of private and public companies in the areas of internal investigations, corporate governance, construction, contract disputes, deceptive trade practices and unfair competition, restrictive covenants, and trade secret matters. Wayne has extensive first-chair trial experience in jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations, and litigates matters in jurisdictions throughout the country.
Wayne has extensive experience litigating temporary restraining orders and preliminary and permanent injunctions in courts around the country. He has litigated more than 25 emergency injunction matters in the past five years alone.
Wayne also dedicates significant time to professional, civic, and pro bono matters. He is the former managing partner of the firm’s Philadelphia office.
