Successful advocacy is always a challenge, but even more so when you throw in differing cultural backgrounds, a matrix of laws and several different languages.

The course aims to help users demystify advocacy in international arbitration and is suitable for common law trained advocates who are new to international arbitration and civil law trained lawyers who are new to common law advocacy.

Global chair of Reed Smith’s international arbitration practice, Peter Rosher, is a faculty member for the course and will present on various topics, including cross examination in international arbitration and cross examination of experts, redirect, the role experts play in the early part of the case, and damages.

Former global chair of our international arbitration practice, José Astigarraga, will also present in this course on the topic of cross examination, with a focus on U.S. lawyers.
