Reed Smith and its 36-person Racial Equity Task Force were “Highly Commended” among the five nominees for “Innovations in Diversity and Inclusion.” The firm was recognized for its new Racial Equity Action Plan (REAP), which sets specific benchmarks for hiring, retaining and promoting Black lawyers and advances pro bono initiatives impacting the Black community, all to deconstruct barriers to equity in the legal industry and in our communities.

With longtime client The Hershey Company, the firm and Hershey were “Highly Commended” in the “Most Innovative Operations Team of the Year” category. Reed Smith and Hershey collaborated on a custom data privacy assessment solution for the company’s in-house procurement team.

Reed Smith’s team was shortlisted for the firm’s free mobile E-Discovery App (led by partner David Cohen and e-discovery attorney Marcin Krieger) appearing in the “Innovators of the Year” category.

Hosted by American Lawyer Media, the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards highlight “the key players from the legal tech universe.”
