Mitch Bailey is an associate in Reed Smith’s Regulatory & Investigations Group, focusing his practice on trade and regulatory enforcement matters. He represents government contractors and grant recipients in a range of litigation and regulatory counseling matters, including contract disputes and day-to-day compliance issues.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Mitch served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Armando O. Bonilla in the United States Court of Federal Claims. In this role, he researched and drafted opinions on a variety of issues, including government takings, bid protests and more.
Before his clerkship with Judge Bonilla, Mitch served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army, where he advised small and large organizations on a range of matters, such as regulatory compliance, internal investigations and criminal and administrative litigation.
Mitch graduated from Marquette University Law School cum laude and received his undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher University.
