She has acted as counsel in arbitral proceedings under various institutional rules, including the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA).
Melissa has experience acting for top-tier financial institutions and multinational companies across a broad range of cross-border disputes. In particular, she has significant experience in advising and defending leading global companies in product failure and product liability claims, in relation to a wide range of products ranging from consumer products (thermal flasks, domestic ovens and cookers, pharmaceuticals) to renewable energy (solar panels) and heavy power generation machinery.
