Leading an award-winning pro bono practice spanning the EMEA region, Becca’s team advises charities, non-profits, and individuals in need on a wide range of legal matters.
On the access to justice side, Becca works with Kids In Need of Defense UK on cases for undocumented children who have the right to remain in the UK. She also oversees the firm’s access to justice work for a number of pro bono client partners, including Bail for Immigration Detainees, Domestic Abuse Response Alliance, Tower Hamlets Mediation Project, and the Prisoners’ Advice Service.
The firm’s international human rights work focuses on supporting refugees, death row cases, ending female genital mutilation, combatting human trafficking, and protecting individuals’ rights.
As part of our Refugee Protection Project, Becca has worked in Greece and Jordan and has previously undertaken a part-time secondment to Safe Passage as Joint Head of Casework & Programmes, to assist in reuniting unaccompanied children with their relatives in Europe.
Under Becca’s leadership, Reed Smith has been ranked #2 for pro bono in the UK by Law.com and received LawWorks’ recognition for Best Contribution by a Large Firm.
