Susan focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies, private equity funds, SPACs, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. She has advised on transactions across multiple industries, including consumer goods, digital media, professional services, health care and transportation. Susan also represents clients in connection with general corporate and commercial matters. Susan was recognized by Mergers & Acquisitions in its 2024 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A list.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Susan was seconded to the Beijing office of a major international law firm, where she advised on joint venture transactions and other cross-border matters, and she also served as in-house counsel at a quantitative trading firm.
Susan’s pro bono experience includes providing corporate governance advice to non-profit organizations and representing clients in connection with immigration petitions for Special Immigrant Juveniles and under the Violence Against Women Act. Her pro bono work has been recognized by The Public Interest Law Center and HIAS Pennsylvania.
