Etienne focuses on real estate law and regularly advises national and international clients on all legal aspects of national and international real estate transactions, financing, asset management issues, lease agreements, construction agreements, property development, and insolvency issues.
He has extensive experience in the acquisition of commercial, industrial, and residential properties, including by way of sale-and-leaseback transactions.
He has represented clients in several tender offers and regulatory and commercial litigation, including the collection of rents and actions for possession, as well as the obtaining and avoidance of building permits and the avoidance of official orders by the authorities.
Additionally, Etienne has advised and represented U.S. and UK real estate investors, industrial companies, and individuals on soil contamination issues, including legal due diligence, remediation plans, and the limitation and avoidance of remediation orders. Etienne has also represented national and international clients in regulatory litigation with regard to emission protection, water protection, waste disposal, and nature protection regulations.
Since 1999, Etienne has been qualified as a Certified Specialist Attorney for Administrative Law (Fachanwalt für Verwaltungsrecht).
