Heather is a partner in the Life Sciences Health Industry Group, with a breadth of experience defending companies large and small in areas including product liability, toxic tort, consumer fraud, commercial disputes, and intellectual property controversies. She has substantial experience defending pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in mass tort litigation involving products such as diet drugs, hormone therapy, contraceptives, and surgical mesh. She has served as co-lead counsel for a national energy company in multi-district litigation. Heather also works to foster commercial diversity by representing companies owned, controlled, and operated by women to achieve national certification. Having served as a member of Lawyers’ For Civil Justice State E-Discovery Committee, Heather has a deep understanding of e-discovery principles and regularly advises clients on discovery issues.
