Anna represents clients in high-stakes patent disputes involving electronic and semiconductor devices at district court and appellate levels, as well as before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Anna draws on her electrical engineering background to provide targeted and effective advice for plaintiffs and defendants in technologically and legally complex matters spanning multiple forums. She is a seasoned trial lawyer who has successfully litigated cases involving semiconductors, audio/video equipment, wired and wireless communication systems, fiber optics, IoT devices, medical devices, and LED technologies. Anna develops litigation strategies, examines fact and expert witnesses at trial, drafts and argues motions, and takes and defends key depositions.
Anna’s clients value her ability to craft narrowly tailored solutions in and out of the courtroom. As a first-chair lawyer, Anna has secured several favorable global settlements for her clients and obtained early dismissal of claims against her clients. She has also successfully represented clients in post-grant trials, including inter partes review before the PTAB. As a registered patent attorney, Anna assists her clients in developing global IP strategies. She also serves as IP counsel on high-profile merger and acquisition deals.
Anna currently serves as the Chicago Office Chair of the Women’s Initiative Network of Reed Smith (WINRS). She gives back to her community by undertaking pro bono initiatives, including representing veterans in denial of benefits cases, and assisting domestic violence victims with securing temporary restraining orders. As an avid runner, Anna also frequently participates in charity races to support noble causes, including childhood cancer research.
