Cheryl has wide experience in dealing with disputes in relation to charterparty, cargo claims, newbuilding contracts and ship finance, and in “wet” shipping, including salvage, collisions, total loss and wreck removal. She has considerable experience in reviewing standard forms of and amendments to charterparties, ship management agreements, FOBAS agreements and the like.
Cheryl has variously advised shipowners, charterers and oil traders on a substantial number of bunker quality disputes as well as disputes resulting from the insolvency of bunker suppliers.
Cheryl’s expertise extends to transnational litigation and international arbitration in all areas of commercial and maritime disputes.
Before rejoining Reed Smith, Cheryl worked at a prestigious IG Club where she gained extensive experience in advising Owners and Charterers.
