Jack Clark has been the president of Steuart Investment Company, a private Washington, D.C.-based company primarily focused on real estate investment, ownership and development that includes residential, commercial, office and resort properties. From his positions within the organization, he has gained unique insights in the workings and dynamics of multi-generational enterprises.
Michael Friedl, president, chief operating officer and co-chair of the Investment Committee of Larkspur Services Inc. and the broader holding company. Larkspur is a multi-generational family office and investment company based in The Plains, Virginia. The Family Office services Six Family Lines across the United States and provides Investment, Tax Services, Trust and Estate Planning and NextGen Services.
Gail Merriam joined the Carl M. Freeman Companies, a local real estate development family, in 2000 before establishing the Freeman Family Office in 2002. In this role, Gail oversees the day-to-day accounting, cash management and financial planning of family members, numerous trusts and investment entities, and their latest endeavor, a B&B and events venue located at the historic Tusculum Farm, the family’s 550 acre property in Laytonsville, Maryland. Gail works closely with the family’s attorneys, tax team and investment advisors to manage the family’s finances and to plan for future generations.
Beau Schweikert is the director of the HITT Family Office. He is also the corporate secretary and treasurer of the HITT Holding Corporation. Between 2012 and 2015, Beau was the CFO of Route 66 Ventures, a private equity firm and family office, which specializes in financial services, FinTech and real estate. Prior to joining Route 66, Beau was also the CFO of The Comstock Companies, an investor/developer of residential and commercial real estate. In this role, Beau also managed the family office of one of the company’s principals.
