Nick is co-chair of Reed Smith’s U.S. Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Group. He advises high-growth technology companies and tech-focused private equity, growth capital, and venture capital firms on a range of corporate matters, including M&A and financing rounds.
Nick supports emerging companies throughout their corporate life cycles, from early-stage funding to growth equity financings, bolt-on acquisitions, and exits. He has closed hundreds of financings, as well as buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, over the course of his career. Nick leverages his entrepreneurial experience as a two-time startup co-founder to provide strategic, practical guidance to his clients.
Nick represents emerging companies across a wide range of sectors, including SaaS, fintech, technology, consumer packaged goods (CPG), apparel, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, engineering, construction, manufacturing, health care, and media. He also has extensive experience representing acquirers of manufacturing, engineering, and industrial businesses.
Nick is nationally ranked by Chambers USA in the category of Startups & Emerging Companies. He is actively involved in the startup community, currently serving on the board of Endeavor Southeast and as chair of its Atlanta Advisory Board, as well previously serving as chair of the Venture Atlanta Conference Selection Committee, advisor to the Atlanta Tech Village, board member of the Atlanta Technology Angels, and guest presenter at universities and industry conferences.
