Mildred also has handled a variety of matters in other industries involving automobiles, food and beverage, and welding products. She also has been involved in defending actions brought under the False Claims Act.

Furthermore, Mildred is a diversity leader at Reed Smith and has served as firmwide chair of the Hispanic/Latino Business Inclusion Group. She also currently serves as the co-chair of the Hispanic National Bar Association's Health & Life Sciences Section. For her courage and determination in promoting diversity in the legal profession, she was recognized with the 2023 Luminaria Award by the Latina Lawyers Bar Association.
