Gaby Sweidan

She has significant experience in High Court proceedings and international arbitration, regularly coordinating complex cross-border disputes and advising on technically and contractually complex documentation.

Her areas of practice include:

• Maritime: Global disputes under charterparties, bills of lading and memoranda of agreement, acting for owners, charterers, cargo interests, P&I clubs, brokers and financing parties.
• LNG: A strong focus on the LNG sector, advising owners, charterers, managers and traders on charterparty negotiations and high-value disputes (including termination, off-hire, performance and off-spec bunkers) across multiple jurisdictions. She also advises on terminal conditions of use and cargo handling risks, and acts for yards, sellers and purchasers in relation to LNG newbuild and conversion contracts (including FSRU projects).
• Superyachts: Advising yards, owners, charterers and managers on superyacht sale and purchase agreements, construction contracts, charters (including MYBA terms) and related disputes.
• Global enforcement: Worldwide asset tracing and recovery strategies, including freezing orders, vessel arrests, maritime liens and attachments.
• Aviation litigation: Multifaceted disputes relating to aircraft leasing, redelivery, detention of aircraft and disputes with third-party suppliers, acting for lessors, lessees, financiers and insurers.

Gaby has particular experience in matters connected with Hamburg, Monaco, Israel and the Middle East. She has been seconded to Hapag-Lloyd in Hamburg and Steamship Mutual in London, regularly speaks at industry events, and contributes to sector publications.
