"Natasha Tardif is an expert in distribution issues and anti-competitive practice-related claims."
Legal 500 France, Industry Focus: Healthcare and life sciences
Natasha is a British and French national. She studied law in both the UK and France, and has worked in law firms in New York, Paris, and London.
Natasha co-leads Reed Smith’s European, Competition, and Regulatory department, and is the managing partner of the Paris office. She is also a former member of the Executive Committee, the firm’s global management body.
Natasha focuses on litigation and advice with respect to issues in European and French government regulations, including competition law, distribution law, consumer law, and regulatory rules.
She notably assists global leaders before EU and French courts and authorities (the European Commission, the French Competition Authority, anti-kickback and anti-corruption authorities, and data privacy agencies).
She has developed particular knowledge of litigation, notably unfair competition cases, unfair trading rules, and more generally, commercial litigation.
Natasha regularly secures significant reductions of fines imposed by enforcement agencies as well as the annulment of investigation measures. She intervened in one of the rare cases of obstruction alleged by competition authorities, and obtained before the French Constitutional Council the unconstitutionality – and therefore the abrogation – of a French legal provision sanctioning obstruction.
Natasha is a lecturer at Paris and Abu Dhabi Sorbonne University, Queen Mary University, Seton Hall University School of Law, INSEAD, the University of Paris Cité, Paris II Assas, and Paris-Dauphine. She also regularly publishes articles in relation to her experience in various business sectors, gives interviews, and is often invited to speak at international conferences in the United States, London, Brussels, and Paris.
Natasha was awarded the International Bar Association’s Outstanding International Woman Lawyer Award for 2024. The prestigious award recognises those who have demonstrated excellence in their field and have influenced other women to pursue legal careers.
