Simon is a partner in our Global Commercial Disputes Group in London, recommended as “excellent” and “top quality” (Commercial Litigation, Premium, The Legal 500 2024 and 2021) and a “key partner” (International Arbitration, The Legal 500 2024).

He is experienced at handling complex international and domestic commercial litigation and international arbitration matters, from the pre-action phase through to trial and final merits hearings. He has extensive experience of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and mediation, and has achieved many favourable settlements for clients in their disputes. Simon also has a busy advisory practice, assisting clients in understanding risks to their businesses and commercial relationships.

Experience

Representative matters

Acting for an international investment bank in an English Commercial Court claim for over US$40 million in respect of a borrower default under a syndicated loan.
Acting for the claimant in an LCIA arbitration claim worth over US$150 million relating to a hedge fund.
Acting for a U.S. pharmaceutical company in defending two consolidated SIAC arbitrations claims of over US$300 million.
