Zeldar is the managing partner of the Shanghai office of Reed Smith. She is qualified as a lawyer in both Hong Kong and England & Wales. She is a highly regarded litigator with extensive experience handling complex and high-value contentious matters across multiple sectors. Zeldar’s practice primarily focuses on international trade, shipping, commodities, shipbuilding, offshore construction, investment disputes, M&A, and shareholders’ disputes and bankruptcy-related litigation.

Zeldar regularly represents clients in high-stakes disputes under a broad range of jurisdictions and arbitral regimes, including ICC, ICA, HKIAC, SIAC, and FOSFA, and ad hoc arbitration (e.g., LMAA, HKMAG), as well as in Hong Kong High Court litigation.

Representative matters

Acting for shipowners in disputes arising out of loan agreements and mortgage agreements in English court and Singapore court proceedings.
Acting for shipowners in disputes arising out of ship management agreements in HKIAC arbitration proceedings.
Acting for a subsidiary Hong Kong company within the group of PRC state-owned enterprise in a Hong Kong seated arbitration to defend a claim brought by a Hong Kong company for alleged non-delivery and short delivery of rebars under an amended sales contract for a claim over US$2.9 million.
