The 2½ day program will cover all types of state and local taxes that business taxpayers are confronted with today. In addition to the ever popular audit sessions and chamber of commerce roundtables, conference topics will range from income/franchise, property and sales & use taxes to payroll & employment tax and unclaimed property issues.

Lee Zoeller will be presenting on a panel entitled "Top 10 SALT Cases of 2015-2016."  Every year in the SALT arena, any one of a number of cases has the potential to be a game changer. The speakers in this session will limit their case discussion to the recent SALT Top Ten – the game changers, the near misses, and the ugly trends we need to keep an eye on.

David Gutowski's panel is entitled "Ethical & Professional Challenges Facing State Tax Professionals."  This presentation will serve as your “wake up” for Thursday morning. However, there’s much more to this session than getting an hour of Ethics CPE/CLE. Tax professionals and government affairs professionals must navigate a host of ethical issues on a daily basis. Some issues are obvious, others may not be. The speakers will discuss how to spot ethical issues and deal with them in a thoughtful and effective manner.

Jack Trachtenberg will be presenting on a panel entitled "Enough About Tax Reform.” What Else Do I Need to Know About New York?"  While much attention has been paid to New York's comprehensive tax reform over the past two years, a lot of activity has also transpired under the old Franchise Tax regime and the State’s sales tax. This program focuses on the "other" important updates from the Big Apple, including income tax and sales tax matters.
