Session II, 10:10 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. Risks and Opportunities in Trade Agreements and Global Economic Sanctions Under the Trump Administration

As the new U.S. Administration begins to implement its agenda, there is significant uncertainty regarding its plans with respect to international economic sanctions against Russia, Iran and Cuba. This timely and interactive session will consider existing U.S. and Canadian  sanctions against these countries and what changes may result from the change in administrations. The panel will discuss the international geo-political implications of any proposed amendments to sanctions laws and regulations, how this might undermine the current coordination of Western sanctions against Russia and Iran in particular, and what risks and opportunities might emerge for companies with  international operations in those countries.

PANELISTS: Paul Lalonde, Dentons Toronto; Kenneth J. Nunnenkamp, Dentons Tysons; Teresa R. Novic, Esq.
