Leon is co-lead of the Reed Smith fund finance team, based in London. Leon and the team work with banks, other financial institutional lenders, managers, general partners and limited partners of funds on specialist fund financing transactions with private equity, secondaries, real estate, direct lending and infrastructure funds.
Leon has particular specialist knowledge of NAV/asset-backed and hybrid facilities, secondary funds facilities, capital call facilities, co-investment and GP/manager support facilities and other types of liquidity facilities provided to funds.
Steve Bleiberg, Partner, Reed Smith
Steven is a member of the firm’s Financial Industry Group. His practice is concentrated in the area of fund finance. He represents banks and financial institutions as lenders in structuring, negotiating and documenting subscription credit facilities, bespoke NAV credit facilities and other types of facilities for private equity funds.
Alex Griffiths, Executive Director, Head of Structuring, Fund Finance, MUFG Investor Services
Alex Griffiths is the Head of Structuring, Fund Finance at MUFG Investor Services, working across both the business and legal sides of the firm. He is responsible for all structuring and legal aspects of transactions in Europe and works closely with our teams in New York, Cayman and APAC on the same. He is also responsible for originating and executing new deals across the global network as well as managing those client relationships going forward. Alex has over 10 years of industry experience.
Formerly counsel at Reed Smith LLP, Alex also previously worked as an Associate at both Ropes & Gray LLP and Addleshaw Goddard.
Cliodhna Murphy, Executive Director, Product Development, MUFG Investor Services
Cliodhna Murphy is an Executive Director of Product Development at MUFG Investor Services with responsibility for hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, and ESG business lines. Cliodhna has over 16 years of industry experience.
Cliodhna was previously at Man Group, where she served under various roles, including Business Manager for GLG Credit, Head of Investment Management Services, and Head of Investor Services. Prior to Man Group, Cliodhna was the Chief Operating Officer for Decura, a VP at Goldman Sachs Administration Services and an Associate at Morgan Stanley Fund Services.
Gustav Magnusson, Project Manager - Group Sustainability, EQT AB
Leading EQT's group approach to ESG-linked credit facilities, development and implementation of Science-Based Targets, carbon removals, and Net Zero ambition. Has worked with corporate strategy and M&A at EQT's Business Development team previously, and before that worked as a management consultant at Bain & Co.
