International law firm, Reed Smith Richards Butler is delighted to announce that Peter Teare has joined the firm as a partner in its European and Middle East Corporate practice in the UK.
Peter was previously a partner with Crowell & Moring where he was managing partner of its London office until 2005. Peter also practised for five years with the same firm in Washington DC.
Peter’s practice focuses on the communications, electronics and defence industries. He specialises in advising US-based companies in these sectors supplying technology and services to commercial and government markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Peter specialises in corporate and commercial work. He has advised some of the world’s largest communications, electronics and defence companies on cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and private equity investments. He has particular expertise in the structuring and negotiating of commercial transactions involving transfer of sensitive technologies.
He has a market-leading reputation for his outstanding service to clients and was notably recognised by The BTI Consulting Group, Inc. as a member of the ‘2007 BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law firms’.
Peter’s appointment follows on from the recent addition of Klaus Grossman, an expert in corporate, M&A and private equity, who joined the firm’s Munich office earlier this month.
