Global law firm Reed Smith has advised fashion app Grabble on its £1.2 million fundraising from a consortium of high-profile angel investors. Grabble allows users to browse and buy fashion items in just a couple of swipes, and was recently the most popular app on the App Store with more than 80,000 users and 1,000 retailers signed up.
Corporate partner Michael Young and associate Stephen Mooney led the Reed Smith team.
Reed Smith corporate partner, Michael Young, commented:
“Grabble is growing rapidly and this successful fundraising means that it can keep expanding into the United States and Asia. We were able to draw on our strengths in the technology sector and it is another example of our work with start-ups and entrepreneurs.”
Grabble Co-Founder, Joel Freeman, commented:
“Reed Smith has been a massive help to us over the last year. Mike and Stephen are both extremely knowledgeable and were a constant reassuring presence throughout the fundraising process, enabling us to focus on bringing in the money.”
