PHILADELPHIA (February 29, 2016) - Reed Smith LLP represented Haddon House Food Products—a well-respected distributor and merchandiser of natural, organic and gourmet ethnic products—in a definitive agreement to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Natural Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNFI), a leading distributor of natural and organic foods. In the agreement, UNFI will acquire all outstanding equity interests of Haddon House and certain affiliated entities for approximately $217.5 million.
