TL: Distinguished Leaders in many cases have praiseworthy careers, but most importantly they continue to be leaders in the profession. What are some of your proudest recent achievements?

GJ: This year I have been advising a central Asian republic in negotiations between it and a Fortune 200 global power company in relation to further actions under an agreement on concession of two hydroelectric power plants. These negotiations are of significant importance since the HPPs are considered to be part of the strategic assets of the republic, ensuring supply of electricity in the region. Despite recent market conditions that have led to a dramatic downturn in oil and gas transactional work (one of my particular areas of expertise), I have continued to handle major transactional work for industry leaders such as Columbia Pipeline Group, and institutional players such as EnerVest Energy Institutional Funds.
