Hosted by Lloyd’s List, an authority on maritime news since 1734, the awards highlight excellence and leadership in the shipping and maritime industry, recognising the most innovative and dynamic companies in the world that are shaping the future of global shipping.

Reed Smith has been shortlisted as a finalist in the i-law Maritime Law award – an accolade which celebrates excellence in the legal profession in the maritime industry.

The shipping industry is in a period of rapid change as technology and the regulatory landscape challenge the way companies operate. Reed Smith has been part of the industry since 1925 and has a thriving shipping practice across Asia, Europe and the United States. Its long-standing global client relationships, wide legal service platform and thought leadership have enabled Reed Smith to reach a deeper understanding of its clients’ needs and help their businesses adapt and prepare for the future.

The finalists were chosen by an independent panel of expert judges and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 11 December 2018.
