The improvements are part of Reed Smith’s effort to facilitate personnel management and save time for staff, managers and attorneys. They allow faster updates of personal information, benefits selections, and performance evaluations.
Reed Smith earned the “PeopleSoft Innovator” appellation based on its early adoption of new features and functions to reduce administrative burden and eliminate paper.
The firm adopted FLUID functionality after upgrading the PeopleSoft system to version 9.2, enabling better ease of use and a more streamlined look and feel for its users.
With help from vendor Velocity, the firm replaced many manual processes, paper forms, emails, spreadsheets, with PeopleSoft self-service programs.
The result was a significant increase in activity within PeopleSoft from the HR team, as well as employees, managers, and candidates.
In 2020, Reed Smith is planning to use PeopleSoft to centralize HR functions and leverage technology to streamline processes such as onboarding, data analytics, total rewards, and more.
Reed Smith HR officials will accept the award at Oracle’s OpenWorld conference September 15-19 in San Francisco.
Reed Smith uses PeopleSoft to store and manage its HR data, including benefits, compensation, payroll interface, performance management, and recruiting.
