Amber Finch, a partner in Reed Smith’s Insurance Recovery Group, has been a force in the areas of general liability insurance, first party property insurance, environmental/pollution insurance, directors & officers insurance, errors & omissions insurance, mortgage insurance, product liability insurance, and media liability insurance. Most recently, Finch has been representing various companies in connection with business income interruption and property damage losses arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. She serves as the Partner Chair of Reed Smith’s African American Business Inclusion Group STAARS (Sustaining and Training African Americans at Reed Smith) which works to increase and support the growth of Black lawyers and administrative staff at Reed Smith across all ranks, and serves on the firm’s Racial Equity Task Force. Finch previously served as the Diversity & Inclusion Market Chair for the Los Angeles Office.
Julia Zhu-Morelli is a partner in the firm’s Global Corporate Group and represents domestic and international clients engaged in a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, she has regularly led the structuring of complex investment vehicles for Chinese companies to invest in overseas entities, including transactions that require CFIUS clearance to proceed and face various regulatory hurdles. Zhu-Morelli also advises Chinese and U.S. companies and Chinese funds on various corporate and transactional matters, and provides counsel to U.S. companies involved in establishing Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprise structures (WFOEs) or joint ventures with companies based in China. She serves as an Ambassador of Investment Promotion and Trade Representative for Jiangsu Province and has assisted the government of Jiangsu with various investment projects.
