WASHINGTON, D.C. – Reed Smith today announced Rebecca R. Hammond, an experienced law firm executive overseeing administrative and human resources functions, has joined the firm as Chief Administrative Officer. Based in Washington, D.C., she will support the firm’s 30 global offices.

Hammond had been Chief Administrative Officer at Norton Rose Fulbright US, LLP since June 2017. Between 2005 and 2017, she served in numerous high-level administrative positions, including Director of Administration at Fulbright & Jaworski and National Director of Administration at Norton Rose Fulbright.

“Rebecca is a seasoned administrator with three decades of experience in BigLaw and leading U.S. companies,” said Nick Bagiatis, Reed Smith’s Chief Operating Officer. “Her expertise includes overseeing all personnel and development functions in support of a global law firm’s business objectives. In more than 15 years in BigLaw, Hammond led administrative support teams and supervised document production, vendor management, security, travel management and the execution of real estate strategy. Among her most significant accomplishments was leading the integration of administrative operations and human resource functions for Norton Rose Fulbright’s acquisition of Chadbourne & Parke.
