PARIS - Global law firm Reed Smith today announces that it has been awarded the pro bono trophy of the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights, officially named L’Alliance des Avocats pour les Droits de l’Homme (AADH).

AADH – a clearing-house that brings together organisations that protect civil and human rights – is the main platform for pro bono in France, with 40 member firms and over 12,000 lawyers worldwide, supporting 200 partner associations, NGOs and non-profit organisations.

Each year AADH recognises one law firm which has been nominated by its charities and NGO members for playing a key role in supporting and contributing to its goals.

This year, Reed Smith’s Paris office was awarded the 2020 trophy for its commitment and contribution to AADH projects. The firm’s France-based pro bono teams have strived to increase its contribution to the AADH over the years – dedicating 338 hours to projects in 2020 and organising the first edition of the Paris Pro Bono Day in partnership with the AADH in 2019. The longstanding relationship has also resulted in Reed Smith being appointed to AADH’s board.
