López has notable success defending medical product and drug manufacturers in products liability litigation. She serves clients in all stages of litigation, from initial filings and early case assessments through to their resolution, including trials.

In her speech accepting the prize, López spotlighted the issue of Latinx, and even more so Latina, underrepresentation among lawyers and in advancing to partner, and she called for more diversity within big law and greater access to meaningful opportunities within a booming Latinx community, which accounts for nearly 20% of the nation’s population. López credited her parents and grandmother for bringing her to the U.S. from Guatemala, and giving her the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
