She also advises and assists in the creation and operation of private charitable foundations to enable those clients to fulfill their charitable goals, and has facilitated the formation and serves as a director of a number of family foundations.

Cheryl advises numerous prominent New York and New Jersey families in connection with gifts of substantial assets to trusts for younger generations. She also counsels and represents clients in litigation relating to contested probate matters, the administration of estates and trusts, and complex business disputes. Cheryl is the author of Estate Planning and Chapter 14: Understanding the Special Valuation Rules, from the Practising Law Institute, now in its second edition.
