Novika is an associate in the firm’s Entertainment and Media group. She regularly advises clients on entertainment and intellectual property matters in the film, television, publishing, podcast, and digital/new media industries.
Novika represents a wide variety of clients in the entertainment and media space, including studios, production companies, financiers, and individual artists. She counsels clients on all stages of project evolution, from development and pre-production through production and post-production. Novika has extensive experience negotiating and drafting contracts in connection with underlying rights acquisitions, development services and financing, film and television production, talent and vendor services, brand sponsorships, and film sales and distribution.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Novika was an associate at the New York City entertainment boutiques Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP and Gray Krauss Sandler Des Rochers LLP. She also previously practiced with the advertising group at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC, the intellectual property group at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP, and the corporate finance group at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
