Adela Mues is a partner in our Global Corporate Group in the UAE where she has been based for over 14 years. She advises on a broad range of local and cross border transactions, including M&A, JVs, Private Equity, Venture Capital, corporate reorganisations and corporate inward investment structures. She also advises on a range of financial services regulatory matters, including fund management, investment management and virtual assets, as well as fund formation.
Adela and her team also regularly advise our international clients on a variety of employment and labour matters, including drafting, amending and updating employment contracts and employment handbooks and policies across the UAE (and its non-financial free zones), DIFC and ADGM, as well as employment contract terminations and related notices and settlements agreements, employee relocations and employee secondments. She also works closely with our disputes team on contentious employment matters as well as employment related investigations.
Adela is also experienced on advising on a variety of commercial and regulatory law matters, including distribution and commercial agency agreements, escrow arrangements, and AML compliance matters. She also serves as our UAE Pro Bono partner.
