Oliver is a partner in the Global Commercial Disputes Group, focusing on commercial, banking, and financial services litigation and arbitration.
Oliver has extensive experience acting for corporates and high-net-worth individuals in a broad range of complex, multi-jurisdictional, high-stakes, and high-value commercial disputes. Oliver has acted in many matters for UK and international investment and retail banks, as well as other financial institutions in disputes involving structured products, derivatives, and general banking and regulatory issues.
Oliver also regularly provides advisory services to assist his clients in understanding and assessing risks in and to their businesses.
Oliver has been seconded to the wealth and investment, and commercial banking divisions of two major UK clearing banks and to the UK in-house team of the world’s largest brewer.
The Legal 500 UK names Oliver as a Next Generation Partner and describes him as a “star in the making”, “a real talent” who “combines banking industry expertise with an unusually deep knowledge of the law.” Chambers UK ranks him for Banking Litigation and describes him as “an excellent, technically strong and responsive lawyer” who “reads cases well, has strong technical abilities and is an excellent people manager.
