Antoine is a partner in Reed Smith’s Energy & Natural Resources Group, with a focus in the field of projects and construction. He helps clients resolve domestic U.S. and international construction disputes, particularly in the areas of renewable and conventional energy, oil and gas, transport, and infrastructure. Antoine also advises clients on construction, operation, and maintenance transactions, project execution, and change management.
Antoine has acted as project counsel and as arbitration advocate on a wide range of construction projects, involving renewable energy (offshore and onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydro), gas power plants, LNG megaprojects, vessels for offshore oil and gas, bridges and highways, tunneling, heavy and light rail terminals and railways, municipal waste and water treatment plants, and investigations and disputes involving catastrophic failure. These projects have been located in countries across South and North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
Antoine is known for his strong grasp of complex technical and legal issues arising from construction disputes, including delay analysis, defects and root cause investigations, and changed work, bringing to bear his previous experience working as in-house counsel for construction and engineering companies. He is consistently recognized for excellent technical performance, leadership, and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.
