Reed Smith is proud to announce an exciting training session on the New York City Human Rights Law, one of the nation’s most employee-friendly anti-discrimination laws, presented by the New York City Commission on Human Rights, the agency that enforces the law itself. The program is designed to educate employers and business owners about basic concepts, protections, and obligations under the City law, including prohibited discriminatory and retaliatory practices, workplace accommodations, and limitations on the hiring process.

Recent additions to protected classes in employment under the New York City Human Rights Law will be discussed, including caregiver discrimination, the Stop Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Chance Act. Mandated requirements to provide reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities, pregnant employees, victims of domestic violence, and persons following religious observances will also be covered.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to learn about the New York City Human Rights Law from the very regulators who administer it. If you have are a New York City employer of any size, attending this event is a must.
