Given the active role the U.S. plays in sanctions and export control enforcement, a change in political leadership could mean significant change on a global scale. Our speakers will discuss what to expect when President Trump returns to the White House, covering relations and sanctions activity impacting trade with China, Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. We will also discuss whether to expect any significant shift in the U.S.’s role in ongoing conflict in Europe and the Middle East and the subsequent impact on trade. For now, the U.S. and the EU are fairly aligned in their sanctions and export controls activity relating to Russia and Russia’s allies. Along with other G7 nations, the U.S. and the EU recently published joint guidance focused on preventing the evasion of the export controls and sanctions imposed on Russia. Our speakers will also explore the EU’s due diligence requirements and strategies that businesses can put in place to minimise the risk of unintentionally exporting sanctioned products to Russia. We hope you can join us for this webinar.
