The awards, organised by C5 Communications, were held at Grosvenor House, London on 30 March in front of 350 compliance professionals from around the world. The award was collected on the night by partner Marjorie Holmes and associate Emma Jones.
The category of Antitrust Investigation Team of the Year was introduced for the first time in 2017 and was open to law firms with well-established competition practices regardless of their location. The award seeks to recognise a team led by a woman or with a significant contribution by women, in relation to risk mitigation or investigation success in the antitrust sector.
Reed Smith won for its competition work in relation to shipping alliances and the European Commission investigation into alleged price signalling, which resulted in commitments being adopted by the European Commission in December 2016.
Now in their fourth year, the Women in Compliance Awards are a celebration of the achievements of women in the regulatory compliance industry.
