NEW YORK – Reed Smith today announced that it has advised private equity firm Leeds Equity Partners on its acquisition of Exterro, Inc., a leading provider of E-Discovery software specifically designed for in-house legal and IT teams at Global 2000 and AmLaw 200 organizations.

Leeds Equity Partners is a sector-focused private equity firm dedicated exclusively to the education, training, software and information services industries.

The Reed Smith team was led by New York corporate partners Mark Pedretti and Jennifer Cheng, New York corporate counsel Wayne Uffleman, and New York corporate associates Anatoliy Rozental, Lowell Bourgeois, Sheran Sharafi, G. N. Smith Alpert and Terrence Fairfield.  A Reed Smith debt finance team comprised of partner Ben Brimeyer, counsel David Hayes, and associate Matthew Limbert, all in the firm’s Financial Industry Group, was also deeply engaged in this matter.
