Aurélie is a senior associate in our Paris office. She has been part of our Transport Industry Group since 2014.
Aurélie has experience in transportation, energy and construction disputes brought before arbitral tribunals and French courts on behalf of French and international clients.
She has been involved in a number of arbitration proceedings under various arbitrations rules (LCIA, LMAA, ICC, GAFTA) and applicable laws (French, English, BVI).
Aurélie has also acted before French civil, commercial and administrative courts at both the first instance and appellate levels. Her court work includes interim measure applications, challenges to jurisdiction on the basis of arbitration agreements and court ordered expertise.
In these contentious matters, she regularly works with English barristers, local lawyers as well as technical and quantum experts.
Aurélie has also advised clients in transactional and pre-contentious matters raising French law issues, including in relation to contractual issues, tort liabilities and latent defects.
She holds a master’s degree in International Administration from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and an English law diploma from the University of Kent (UK).
Before joining Reed Smith, Aurélie was an intern at the Council of the European Union, at UN Women and in a state delegation at UNESCO in Paris.
