Aurélie is an international dispute resolution lawyer and has been part of our Transport Industry Group since 2014. She has particular experience in shipping, port, aviation, energy, and construction disputes.
Aurélie has been involved in numerous arbitration proceedings, primarily conducted in English, under a variety of arbitration rules (LCIA, LMAA, ICC, GAFTA ) and different applicable laws (French, English, and BVI).
Aurélie has acted before French civil, commercial, and administrative courts at both the first instance and appellate levels. Her court work includes interim measure applications, challenges to jurisdiction, and court-ordered expertise. She also assists clients in disputes brought before domestic courts in francophone Africa, working with local counsel.
Aurélie is perfectly placed to assist international clients in complex disputes. Through her experience, Aurélie has had significant exposure to the common law system, allowing her to serve as a link between civil and common law traditions.
Aurélie has also advised clients in transactional and pre-contentious matters raising French law issues, including in relation to contractual issues, tort liabilities, and latent defects.
