Eleanor’s law practice is focused on complex commercial disputes, insurance recovery and insolvency-related matters. She represents a broad range of clients, including investment and retail banks, liquidators, large corporations and law firms.
Her insurance recovery practice is both litigious and advisory, as part of a Band 1 practice in London. She has experience with nonpayment, trade credit, D&O, professional indemnity, aviation, marine cargo and storage and crime policies, among other types of insurance.
In her commercial disputes practice, Eleanor focuses on high-value, large-scale commercial litigation for financial institution clients and liquidators. She also has experience in professional negligence and judicial review claims.
Eleanor spent four years as a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, where she worked on a complex multi-jurisdictional insolvency case being litigated in the Hong Kong courts; the case included professional negligence claims involving directors, auditors and other professional service providers.
Eleanor is actively involved in pro bono matters. In 2022, she won the LawWorks Pro Bono award for “Best Contribution by an Individual” and was featured in the Law Society Gazette regarding her work on a judicial review of the Home Secretary’s proposed immigration policy. She is the firm’s champion for her work with Amicus, helping to provide representation for those facing the death penalty in the United States.
