Eleanor’s practice encompasses advising corporates, financial institutions, and professional services firms on their most complex disputes, with a particular emphasis on high stakes commercial litigation and strategic insurance recoveries for policyholders.
Eleanor has a wide range of experience, regularly acting in high-value, large-scale, multi-jurisdictional disputes in the English High Court for a broad spectrum of clients, including financial institutions and other large corporates. She has a strong track record in the strategic pursuit of remedies and enforcement opportunities. In addition, she regularly advises large professional services firms on significant professional negligence matters.
Her insurance recovery practice, acting for policyholder clients only, is both litigious and advisory, as part of a Band 1 practice in London. She has experience with a broad range of policies, including, in particular, D&O, professional indemnity, cyber, nonpayment, trade credit, aviation, and marine cargo.
Eleanor also has experience spanning a range of cyber and crypto asset-related matters (often closely associated), catering to a growing demand for disputes advice in this area, including associated insurance recovery advice under cyber and digital assets crime policies.
Eleanor is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, where she worked for four years on a substantial multi-jurisdictional insolvency case being litigated in the Hong Kong courts, featuring claims against directors, auditors, and other professional advisers.
Eleanor is actively involved in pro bono matters. In 2022, she won the LawWorks Pro Bono Award for Best Contribution by an Individual and was featured in the Law Society Gazette regarding her work on a judicial review of the Home Secretary’s proposed immigration policy.
