The rankings, issued this month, ranked nineteen individual lawyers’ work as “highly regarded.” Five lawyers received the “highly regarded” designation for the first time.
The annual IFLR1000 guide ranks law firms and lawyers worldwide on the basis of financial and corporate deals they worked on or closed since January 1, 2018. Law firm rankings and lawyer ratings are based on three key criteria: transactional evidence, peer feedback, and client feedback.
Two practice areas – project development in Singapore and M&A in the UK – were recognized for the first time this year. Twenty-nine Reed Smith practices maintained their rankings from last year. Two areas – Private equity funds in the UK and Capital markets (structured finance and securitization) in the UK – rose in rank. Here is the full list of recognized practice areas.
