LONDON – Ten lawyers from Reed Smith offices in Paris, Dubai, New York, Miami, Hong Kong and Singapore have been ranked in the recently published 2024 Who’s Who Legal Arbitration, a respected list of the world’s top international arbitration lawyers.

The 10 Reed Smith lawyers listed in this year’s ranking are:

  • José I Astigarraga, Miami
  • Antonia Birt, Dubai (Future Leaders – Partners)
  • Timothy Cooke, Singapore
  • James P Duffy IV, New York
  • Clement Fouchard, Paris
  • Rebeca E Mosquera, New York (Future Leaders - Non-Partners)
  • Michelle Nelson, Dubai
  • Peter Rosher, Paris
  • Vanessa Thieffry, Paris (Future Leaders - Non-Partners)
  • Matthew Townsend, Hong Kong (Future Leaders – Partners)

Four Reed Smith lawyers were ranked as Future Leaders. This appellation goes to lawyers who are aged 45 and under and likely to be pre-eminent names of the next generation.

This is the first time Who's Who lists Michelle Nelson in the arbitration category – up to now she has ranked in the construction category only. This is also Vanessa Thieffry's first time on the list.

The ranking is compiled by peer-to-peer voting and client recommendations, the publisher states. Who’s Who Legal has identified the foremost practitioners in multiple areas of business law for over 25 years.

Who’s Who Legal is a sister publication to the Global Arbitration Review. In 2023, the Global Arbitration Review included Reed Smith in its elite list of the world’s top 30 international arbitration law firms – the GAR 30 – for the fifth consecutive year.
