George is a partner in the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes Group. With over 15 years’ experience, his practice includes running heavy-duty, high profile and multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes, contentious regulatory investigations and arbitration proceedings. He has worked on some of the most complex cases in the London Commercial Court and recent highlights include two of The Lawyer’s Top 20 cases for the year and one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 appeal cases for the year.
In the wider regulatory field, George has acted for senior executives in connection with the FCA, DoJ and FINMA investigations into the global FX and LIBOR markets. He has also conducted corporate anti-corruption investigations of both a domestic and cross-border nature. George has also gained considerable commercial and investor/state arbitration experience, including advising a former CIS state in respect of an UNCITRAL arbitration where the damages claimed were US$2 billion.
George has been seconded to two international investment banks to work in their Contentious and Regulatory Legal Departments. He is recognised by Legal 500 for Banking and Commercial Litigation and was recognised as a Rising Star by the London Super Lawyers List for three years for Commercial Litigation.
