Knight focuses primarily on debt restructurings, securitizations and debt capital markets. Her recent experience includes advising an issuer in the debt restructuring of a major Dutch corporation. She also advises investors on sales of NPL portfolios, and advises issuers in cross-border receivables financings. Knight helped develop an innovative financing solution for the continued production of a key component in a malaria vaccine.

Knight joined Reed Smith in 2020 though the Reignite Academy, a program that places talented women lawyers at corporate law firms after an extended career break. She was subsequently offered a senior associate position in the structured finance group. “Reed Smith’s structured finance team is relatively small in size but has a broad, high quality practice which means I am able to grow my practice in directions that interest me,” she told the publication. Before her career break, she spent a number of years working in-house in financial institutions.

As an older associate, Knight describes her passion for helping junior talent thrive at the firm, serving as an informal mentor for a number of trainees, and participating in Reed Smith’s pro bono and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. That pro bono work includes helping children with immigration issues and assisting with the provision of education and other resources.
