Carolyn has more than 25 years’ experience working in commercial disputes, media and intellectual property, representing a variety of clients across the entertainment, gaming, retail and technology sectors. She is also a member of Reed Smith’s Retail & Consumer Goods group. Her areas of expertise include:
- Commercial litigation
- Intellectual property and media including trade mark, copyright, breach of confidence, libel, privacy and advertising. Carolyn’s intellectual property practice includes transactional work such as rights, IT and IP contract negotiations as well as litigation
- Inquiries (in particular in the media industry)
- Social media
- Interim remedies including worldwide freezing orders and anti-suit injunctions
- Media regulation
- Publishing and broadcasting (television and radio)
Carolyn has been acting General Counsel for one of Europe's largest media groups.. She is a member and former Chair of The Law Society's Intellectual Property Law Committee and has sat on Reed Smith’s Executive Committee.
