NEW YORK – Global law firm Reed Smith represented EquiLend, a Welsh Carson portfolio company, in connection with its acquisition of Finadium, a research and consultancy firm serving the securities finance, repo, collateral, prime brokerage, and capital markets infrastructure industries. Finadium will operate as a subsidiary of EquiLend while maintaining its operational independence.

The acquisition expands EquiLend's access to market intelligence, data products, and consultancy capabilities, and EquiLend will invest in broadening and expanding Finadium's consultancy services. Finadium will continue to produce editorially independent research, serving its and EquiLend's clients and market participants globally across the funding and financing industry.

The Reed Smith private equity team was led by Chris Sheaffer, Anatoliy Rozental, Lowell Bourgeois, Michael Meyers, and Adam Fink. The team also included Simon Kliegman, Kiran Somashekara, Ian Sherwin, Zachary Baker, Peter Emmi, Paulo McKeeby, Joseph Mammone Jr., Jessica Brown, Tyler Thompson, Erin Stidham and Talia Boiangin Behar.
